ד"ר גיא בן חמו

Doctor Ben-Hamu is the Head of Mechanical Engineering Department  and Head of Advanced Manufacturing & Surface Analysis in SCE - Shamoon College of Engineering. He has worked in the field of environmental behavior of metals since 2000 , primarily in the area of electrochemical behavior of magnesium alloys. Doctor Ben-Hamu’s research presently focuses on the study of the relation between process parameters and the mechanical and environmental behavior of products. Since 2009 he and his research group study the hydrogen interaction with structural materials

Doctor Ben-Hamu is an active member of NACE International – The Corrosion Society and TMS – The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society, and is a recent grant recipient for his research related to the use of Kelvin probe force microscopy measurements of the corrosion behavior of friction stir welding of magnesium-aluminum alloys. He has presented his work at more than 60 international conferences and has published more than 25 articles in scientific journals
