ד"ר אסף מירון

Dr. Assaf Miron is a lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at SCE - Sami Shamoon College of Engineering. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. His research focuses on the mechanical behavior and friction of granular materials, with particular emphasis on the effects of grain morphology, particle interactions, and pore liquids. His work combines experimental, analytical, and numerical approaches to investigate friction mechanisms across multiple scales, from individual grain-surface interactions to the macroscopic behavior of granular assemblies. His research has been published in leading journals in geotechnical engineering, surface science, and multidisciplinary science. His teaching activities include soil mechanics, foundation design, structural analysis, and computer-aided design of structural elements
