Yaron Schapira holds a B.Sc. from the department of structural engineering at BGU, a M.Sc. from a collaboration between the departments of structural engineering and mechanical engineering at BGU, and a Ph.D. (expected November 2019) from the department of mechanical engineering at BGU

His main research interest are computational generalized fracture mechanics, high order FE methods, meshless methods, variational and DG approaches in dynamic buckling, implicit constitutive models

2016-2019 (expected) – Ph.D. at the department of mechanical engineering, Ben Gurion University of the Negev, under the supervision of Prof. Zohar Yosibash. Dissertation: Elastic solutions in the vicinity of 3-D singular edges.

2012-2013 – M.Sc. at the department of mechanical engineering, Ben Gurion University of the Negev, under the supervision of Prof. David Ornai. Thesis: Regular and strengthened penetrator behavior under high strain rates, stress and temperature.

2008-2011 – B.Sc. at the department of civil engineering, Ben Gurion university of the Negev (magna cum laude).
