ד"ר מרקוס רויטמן
Dr. Roitman was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in 1955. He received the M.Sc. (1983) and D.Sc. (1995) degrees, both in Electrical Engineering, from COPPE/UFRJ
From 1977 to 2012, he worked at CEPEL, the Brazilian Electrical Energy Research Center. He designed and implemented several equipment prototypes for the Simulation Laboratory, and coordinated the development of a real-time synchronous machine model, in cooperation with ABB Power Systems, Sweden, where he spent more than 14 months. After 1997, he was the Technical Advisor to CEPEL’s R&D Directors, supporting and participating in several R&D projects involving Electricity Generation, Transmission and Distribution
He has authored more than 20 papers presented at IEEE, CIGRÉ and other conferences, and his international experience includes joint research projects in Japan and in Canada
He moved to Israel in 2012, and since 2013 he has been with SCE. His R&D activities embrace Power System Economics, Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency
