My research is in the field of structural reinforced and prestressed concrete behavior. My activities as a member of  Experts Committees of the Standards Institute, (in the areas of: reinforced concrete structures, Seismic Resistance Assessment  and  Strengthening of  Existing Structures,  Earthquake Resistance of Structures),COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) Action TU0601 Robustness of Structures, the immediate country requirements and needs for Strengthening of  Existing Structures to resist Earthquakes , as well as teaching courses in these areas, open and raise issues for research investment which can be beneficial to the academy, the standards implementation, the country and the economy
