The Research Authority

One of the main objectives of SCE is achieving excellence in both research and teaching. Within the mandate, SCE obtains grants for its research activities from foundations, funding agencies and grant organization s in Israel and abroad. SCE solicits and administers these funds through the Research Authority which is an integral part of SCE's research and financial management.

The Research Authority engages in the following activities:

· Searches for new sources of research funding.

· Links researchers with funding sources and other researchers.

· Assists and supporting researchers in project and proposal development.

· Conducts liaison with prospective funding organizations prior to and throughout the proposal submission and evaluation process.

· Negotiate grants and contracts with funding agencies on behalf of SCE researches.

· Administer grants and contracts obtained by SCE researches.

· Prepare and submit financial reports and invoices; monitor the submission of scientific and financial reports.

· Monitor compliance with funding agency and government standards both in

Israel

and abroad.
