The purview of the IRD Dept. includes international public awareness, local and international donor recruitment, relations and recognition, fund raising activities and cultivating relationships and partnerships among donors, friends and college staff/faculty and associates, in Israel and around the world.  The IRD department encourages, assists and facilitates contacts for faculty members, matching their department needs with wishes/aims of prospective donors, assisting in the preparation of proposals and the ongoing follow up from pledge, donation encouraging to continuing friendship between SCE and the donor.

What to donate

 

In general, any article of value that can be donated during the donor's lifetime or by his Will. Examples worth mentioning are:

 

1.       Monies in any currency.

2.       Deposits, debentures, bonds, stocks, dividends, insurance policies, copyrights , patents etc.

3.       Personal property- paintings, antique furniture, precious rugs, jewelry, books, coins, stamps, and so on.

4.        Real estate of all kind and nature.

 

The non- money property is usually sold for its real value and the proceeds are transferred to Israel, to be managed to insure that their value is maintained until designation.

 

How to donate

The donation can be made in any of the following ways

·          Donation during the donor’s lifetime.

·          A bequest of whole or part of the donor’s estate after his death in accordance with the donor’s testamentary disposition prepared during his lifetime.

·          By creating a public trust for charitable purposes in Israel during his lifetime or by will.

 

When you donate a capital project, you are investing in and identifying with the excellence and sustainability of Israel’s southern region and beyond, with the success the SCE is and with the success of our students and alumni.
